"A gripping novel" from the #1 New York Times bestselling author-now in trade paperback for the first time. In the midst of a raging blizzard, lightning struck on the night Laura Shane was born. And a mysterious blond-haired stranger showed up just in time to save her from dying. Years later, in the wake of another storm, Laura will be saved again. For someone is watching over her. But just as lightning illuminates, darkness always follows close behind.
BLOGGER COMMENTS:
Dean Koontz is definitely one of my favorite authors. His character development and style of weaving a story always seem to grab me. I've yet to be disappointed. I do not enjoy sci-fi or fantasy stories, specifically, time traveling, as I just don't have the imagination required. I find myself getting lost - it feels so unrealistic to me. Having said that, I found myself empathizing with these characters and their lives. I cried for Laura (Thelma & Ruth). Lightning - a thrill ride with love and loss.
